The creative director of Vogue, who stole The September Issue right out from under Anna Wintour's nose, just sold her memoir to Random House for a reported $1.2 million. According to the New York Observer: "Random House had no comment, but Ms. Coddington reportedly began planning this book back in 2010. Back then, WWD reported that it would cover her modeling days in Sixties London, the car accident that changed her career path and her ascendancy through fashion’s ranks as a stylist and editor at British Vogue and, later, its American counterpart."
