Artist Oliver Voss' 13-foot mermaid with human legs instead of a fishtail sits in the middle of Hamburg, Germany's Alster Lake, her knees up and parted, seemingly daring the tiny boats to approach and get sucked into what could be an underwater cavern. The monumental sculpture will stay in the lake until next Friday.
